AAVID SELLS FRANKLIN, NH EXTRUSION FACILITY TO VITEX CORPORATION
Concord, New Hampshire – January 21, 2002 – Aavid Thermalloy, LLC, the leading provider of heat sinks and thermal management solutions – today announced the sale of its aluminum extrusion facility in Franklin, New Hampshire to Vitex Corporation, at an undisclosed price effective January 1, 2002. Vitex extended employment offers to all active Aavid Extrusion employees. According to Aavid President and CEO Bart Patel, “This allows Vitex and Aavid to focus on their core competencies. Aavid will also continue as a customer of Vitex, and will look to Vitex for world class on-time delivery and cycle times, as well as stocking programs for popular shapes,” Patel concluded. Vitex Vice President Russ Towers said, “We’re excited by this opportunity. We believe our extrusion engineering expertise will enhance Aavid’s extended product offerings in quality, time and price. We hope that Aavid will remain one of our major customers. It is a great opportunity for Vitex,” Towers concluded.
